"BJP is ruling the Indore Municipal Corporation since the last 15 years but every ward has remained unclean. BJP has failed badly to rid the city of dirt and filth," she said in a TV show.
Taking a jibe at her BJP rival Malini Gaud, who is also an MLA, Jaiswal said her Assembly constituency (Indore-4) is known for filth and chaotic road traffic. "When she can't provide basic amenities to people (of her constituency), how she can do good for the city as Mayor?"
She said BJP was fighting the civic body elections on development plank and the party will come out with a blueprint on waste disposal system and water supply after it comes to power.
Election in 85 wards and also for Mayor's post will take place on January 31 and counting is scheduled for February 4.
