"Every person in Goa is carrying a debt of Rs 93,000. The state government has been supporting social welfare schemes like Dayanand Social Security, Grih Adhar and Ladli Laxmi," Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) chief Luizinho Faleiro told reporters here.
"Goa should be given financial package by the Prime Minister to tide over the crisis," he said.
He also accused BJP of failing to implement even 50 per cent of its Budget plan outlay.
"Despite uncertainty about resumption of mining, the budget proposes Rs 742 crore revenue through mining sector. It's a blunder," he said.

The state's debt runs into Rs 13,900 crore with per head burden of Rs 93,000, he claimed.
"Government's entire effort is on creating a facade of satisfaction among the people through several doles. Crores of rupees are spent every month. These schemes are exceeding the budget estimate and government needs to rethink," he said.
The mining in the state is yet to resume after the Supreme Court lifted the ban imposed on it.
