Congress leader calls for abolishing 'Dalit', SC/ST terms

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today called for abolition of terms like 'Dalit' and 'Schedule Caste' and said its use leads to further discrimination.
"It is now need of the hour to abolish such terms and use terms like Economically Weaker Sections of the society for categorising a particular community and alienating them from mainstream and it leads to discrimination," he said in a statement.
