In last four years of BJP's "misrule", people have witnessed three chief ministers at the helm of affairs which had only affected development works in the state, Opposition Leader in the Assembly Siddaramaiah said.
Taking part in a protest organised by Youth Congress against BJP's 'misrule', he urged Congress workers to get ready for the next Assembly election and defeat BJP as people have lost faith in its rule.
Congress is the only party which can give pro-people's government, he claimed.
He dubbed Jagadish Shettar as the weakest chief minister in the state's political history, saying he lacked control over his ministers.
"Shettar is the weakest chief minister in Karnataka history and lacks control over his ministers and Cabinet colleagues. Hardly any minister and party legislators listen to him," Siddaramaiah told reporters during the protest.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshwar said the youth in the state had been "greatly disappointed" with BJP's rule.
Congress leaders, including Siddaramaiah and Parameshwar, who were staging a protest in front of Shettar's house, courted arrest and later released.
