CLP leader Mohamed Sohrab today said that the party had urged Speaker Biman Banerjee to allow party members to make a statement in the House to counter the remarks made by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that the price situation in the country was due to the wrong economic policies of the UPA government.
There was no response from the Speaker so far to a letter to allow Congress members to counter the statement of the Chief Minister, Sohrab told reporters here.
WBPCC President Pradip Bhattacharjee said that the party would stage a march from the two Midnapore districts to Howrah from December 1 to protest against 'the attack on democracy by the ruling Trinamool Congress'.
