Congress MLA goes on hunger strike protesting lack of roads

A Congress MLA here today launched an indefinite hunger strike protesting against lack of roads in the area.
The MLA, Girish Bhandari, began the strike at Kurawar town over non-construction of roads here, which is causing huge inconvenience to people.
"I have raised the issue with officials a number of times but nothing happened following which I had to adopt the path of agitation," Bhandari said.
He said that he will continue with the agitation unless he gets an solid assurance from concerned officials on the issue.
Narsinghgarh's Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pratibha Pal said that since the matter is associated with the Public Works Department (PWD), they have been informed about the same.
