Congress promises adequate representation to SCs

Chairman of AICC scheduled caste department, K Raju today said that efforts would be made to ensure that people belonging to SCs are provided adequate representation at all levels, including in the party.
Raju who took part in "Anusuchit Jati Swabhiman Goshti' here said that he would personally make efforts to ensure that proper representation is given to people belonging to the SCs.
In addition, Raju said that efforts would be made to strengthen the organisation up to district and block level and develop leadership.
Claiming that Congress has always safeguarded the interests of Scheduled Castes, he said the party president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi have always been working for their welfare.

Cautioning that some forces in the state were trying to spread confusion to distance the scheduled castes from the Congress, Raju asked representatives to apprise the people of Congress policies so that the party could win maximum seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
A detailed discussion was also held on framing a work plan on how to woo Scheduled Castes and ensure victory in the coming lok sabha elections.
