Congress leader Sharmistha Mukherjee today questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on various scams in BJP-ruled states.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi after coming to power had said 'Na khaunga na khane dunga'. But now he has turned a blind eye against corruption that is going on in BJP-ruled states. The CBI is going slow in Vyapam scam and many other scams in various states," Mukherjee told a press conference here.
Mukherjee, who presented a Congress booklet titled 'Do saal, Desh ka bura haal' featuring the "omissions and commissions" of the Modi government, said the BJP government has failed on all fronts in the last two years.
"After leading BJP to victory in 2014, Modi and his government have utterly failed on all the important indices of development," Mukherjee said.
