Congress stages walkout in Assembly

Opposition Congress staged a walkout in West Bengal Assembly today demanding a statement from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on threats received by party councillors in Kharagpur town.
During the session, Congress MLAs alleged that two of its councillors in Kharagpur were threatened by police and Trinamool Congress-backed goons.
They demanded a statement from Banerjee on the issue of attack on Congress workers and leaders in various parts of the state.
As the CM was not present during the session, the Congress MLAs staged a walkout in protest.
