Indian Youth Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, in a statement, asked AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal to explain his position "over the arrest of the pro-Khalistani activist with clear links with the party".
He claimed that the arrested man, Gurdial Singh, had actively campaigned for the AAP candidate in Garhshankar, Jaikishen Singh Rorhi, during the last Assembly elections which was reported in a section of media.
Warring, an MLA from Gidderbaha seat, alleged, "The AAP was deliberately trying to play the radical and secessionist agenda, with Kejriwal staying in the house of an ex-Khalistani militant in Moga a few days before the 2017 Assembly polls."
He said the matter needed to be thoroughly probed as Punjab could not afford to play with fire which the AAP was trying to push it into.
"Although there is no doubt that you (the AAP) have been trying to cosy up with radicals and anti-nationals in a desperate bid to capture power in Punjab, the recent arrest of Gurdial has proved it beyond any doubt," he alleged.
