Constable shot dead by fellow constable

A constable of the 4th battalion of India Reserve Police was shot dead by another constable at Sihthiang village on Mizoram's border with Tripura, reports reaching here today said. Constable Lalhriatpuia shot constable Lalramnunmawia in the right side of his chest with a self-loading rifle after a fight in an inebriated state yesterday killing him instantly, the reports said. Constable Lalhriatpuia was arrested, they said. The body of another constable, Laltanpuia, of the 5th IR battalion who was missing since Sunday was found near the battalion headquarters at Lungverh near here today, the reports added.
