The construction work on the 166-metre long 'Sudama Setu', a cable-stayed hanging pedestrian bridge over the Gomti river in Dwarka is complete, helping thousands of devotees visiting the Dwarkadheesh's Jagat Mandir and Panchnad Tirth.
The visitors have been using boats to cross the river to reach Panchnad.
The bridge has been built by Reliance Industries, in collaboration with the Gujarat Tourism Department and Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board under a public-private partnership model.
Parimal Nathwani of RIL said the bridge will help in developing Dwarka as a heritage city.
He did not say how much was the cost of the bridge.
