Construction of Yogshalas to begin soon: Haryana Minister

The Haryana government today said the construction of 'vyamshalas' and 'yogshalas' under its 'Khelega Haryana-Badega Haryana' awareness campaign will be initiated soon in 50 villages of the state.
"Deputy Commissioners concerned have been issued necessary directions in this regard as construction work would be taken up as part of the first phase," Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij said.
In these Yogshalas, arrangements would be made to impart training of Yoga to children, youth, elders and women of the villages, he added.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who has been made the brand ambassador for the promotion of Yoga in the state, will train all physical training instructors, an official release said.
The notification to appoint Ramdev as the brand Ambassador would be issued soon, it said.
According to the release, Haryana would also have a first-of-its-kind 'World Herbal Forest' soon where 25,000 saplings of different varieties from all over world would be planted. "Baba Ramdev would also provide his assistance in setting up this project," it said.
For providing education of Ayurveda, the Shri Krishana Ayurvedic University, Kurukshetra has been given the status of Ayush University for which necessary proceedings are in progress, it said.
