A five-member team of the private consultant - M/S India Ltd - inspected the site in order to prepare the DPR for the AMU's study centre there, Mathur told reporters.
The consultancy would complete the DPR in a month and hand it over to the AMU authorities for approval, Mathur said, adding that the construction of study centre campus in the first phase would cost Rs 400 crore while the total cost of overall infrastructure would be about Rs 2,500 crore.
The UPA government had late last year approved the AMU study centre project at Kishanganj consequent to which an official delegation of Aligarh-based premier central university had visited the site and expressed their willingness to start the campus at the earliest from rented accommodation.
