However, the inflation based on monthly CPI-IW stood at 10.85 per cent in July 2013 compared to 11.06 per cent during the previous month while it was 9.84 per cent during July 2012.
Similarly, the Food inflation stood at 14.10 per cent against 14.86 per cent in the previous month and 11.27 per cent during the corresponding period last year.
The largest upward pressure to the current index came from the Food group, which contributed 1.99 percentage points to the total change.
At the central level, Giridih recorded the highest increase of 16 points followed by Kodarma (11), Durgapur (10) and Jharia, Surat, Ghaziabad and Godavarikhani (nine each).

Among others, a rise by eight points was registered at seven centres, seven points at six and six points at 10 centres.
The indices of 38 centres were above All-India Index and 38 other centres' indices are below national average.
The indices of the Jabalpur and Ghaziabad centres remained on a par with the All-India Index.
