In a teleconference with CMDs & top officials of DISCOMs today, Energy Secretary Ajay Jain insisted on fixing modems and SIM cards on all 9,254 feeders, so that real time monitoring is possible and complete the work by the end of September.
The work will enable consumers across the state to know power supply position in any corner of the state at any time.
Jain also directed power utilities to make efforts to fully meet seven hours power supply to agriculture sector. He also directed officials to duly make functioning of all toll free call centres more effective in DISCOMs.
He directed field officers to identify hamlets which have been not electrified so far and submit estimates immediately, as Government is committed on electrifying all households, according to a State Energy Conservation Mission statement.
The government is even planning to extend power supply to agriculture up to nine hours in future depending upon the power situation, he added.
