Container Corporation Q1 Net rises 6.25% to Rs 262 crore

Container Corporation of India today reported 6.25 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 261.88 crore for the quarter ended June 30 on the back of higher income.
The company's net profit in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal was Rs 246.47 crore, Container Corporation of India said in a filing to the BSE.
The company's total income from operations went up to Rs 1,269.67 crore from Rs 1,194.54 crore in the same quarter of FY'14, the company said.
The total expenses also increased to Rs 1,020.54 crore, against Rs 969.11 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous financial year, it said.

The shares of the company closed 3.36 per cent up at Rs 1,307.80 apiece on the BSE.
