Acting on a tip-off, the police nabbed the smuggler while carrying out a search operation in a bus in the area under the jurisdiction of Shikarpur police station, a police officer said.
The smuggler was working as a carrier and assigned the job of taking the contraband to Narkatiyaganj railway station, Narkatiyaganj Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Aman Kumar said.
During interrogation, he revealed that according to his handler's directive, the said consignment was supposed to be kept in a bogey of Saptakranti Express at the railway station, the police officer added.
