Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau chief A K Khan here today said the conviction rate in bribery cases in the state had increased from 43 per cent to 81 per cent.
His department was making efforts to increase the conviction rate to 90 percent, Khan added.
The cases of disproportionate assets were increasing, and they outnumbered the 'trap' cases (where a person is caught red-handed while taking bribe), Khan noted.
"To strengthen the organisation, ACB will take help from CBI to use highly sophisticated technology," he said.
Asked about the probe of cash-for-vote scandal involving TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, Khan said some more reports were awaited from the Forensic Laboratory.
Karimnagar SP D Joel Davis was also present on this occasion.
