"We have sold over 3 million smartphones in this fiscal and for the coming year, we hope to sell about 5 million. The sales this year came mostly from our online partner, Amazon but we have seen strong traction in offline retail as well," Coolpad India CEO Syed Tajuddin told PTI.
He added that its handsets are now available in physical retail stores across states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra and in Delhi-NCR.
He added that offline retail currently accounts for less than 20 per cent of the overall sales of the company in India and the contribution is expected to grow to 30-35 per cent during the next fiscal.
Coolpad today launched a new handset -- Note 5 Lite -- priced at Rs 8,199.
