Cooperative society manager held for accepting bribe

Haryana Vigilance Bureau today arrested the manager of cooperative society in Hisar district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1,500 from a person to hand over his loan cheque.
Umeed Singh accepted the bribe from a Kinnar village resident to hand over his loan cheque, a spokesman of the Bureau said.
A case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Singh in the police station of the Bureau at Hisar, he said.
