Coordination panels aimed at helping farmers get MSP: Tel CM
Press Trust of India Hyderabad Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today dismissed the criticism of opposition Congress and others that his government tried to appoint workers of the ruling TRS into the proposed farmers' coordination committees.
He said the coordination committees are only aimed at organising the farmers towards getting MSP for produce.
"They (committees) would be facilitators. They will impart knowledge. They have no powers. The committees are aimed at organising farmers for getting MSP for their produce" he said while speaking at an event here.
"Some see only politics. This is very strange. I appeal to them not to stall development," Rao said.
The opposition parties also alleged that the panels would weaken the democratically-elected representatives of the local bodies.
