Cop booked for assaulting wife over dowry

A constable has been booked for allegedly assaulting his wife over dowry at Dadri, police said today.
The FIR was registered against Sandip Bhati at Dadri police station following a complaint that he used to beat his wife for dowry, they said.
The constable had earlier been booked on charges of acid attack on a woman, police said.
In another case, a man along with his parents was booked for allegedly killing his wife for want of dowry at Bisrakh area.
According to a complaint filed by the victim's father, the accused Rohan Singh in connivance with his family killed Yogindri, police said.
