Cop killed in road mishap in UP

A constable was today killed and four members of his family were injured when their car collided with another vehicle in Ambehta town here.
The incident occurred in Nakur area when constable Karan's car collided with a microvan, killing him on the spot, SSP Nitin Tiwari said.
His father Kanwarpal (65), wife Kavita, daughter Riya (6) and Son Shiva (2) were injured in the accident, he said.
The victims who are residents of Ambala were returning home when the incident occurred, the SSP said.
He said the body has been sent for postmortem, while those injured were admitted to a district hospital.

A case has been registered against the driver of the microvan and efforts are on to nab him, police said.
