The revolvers, that belonged to an MLA and an ex-legislator, were deposited with the police before the Assembly elections in November last year, Superintendent of Police Dr Raman Singh Sikarwar said.
However, later the two weapons were found to be missing following which police conducted an enquiry.
The two arms were seized from constable Vijay Shrivastava's house here yesterday, the SP said.
The constable was subsequently suspended and charged under sections 380 (theft) and 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant) of the IPC, police said, adding that his interrogation was on.
