On the global front, the industrial metal copper edged down in early trade, after a solid U S labour report boosted the dollar, with prices set to close the week little changed amid the Lunar New Year holiday in top consumer China.
Tin spurted by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,400 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,390.
Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cuttings rose by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 428 and Rs 420 as against Rs 425 and Rs 417 previously.

However, Nickel plunged by Rs 25 per kg to Rs 1,030 from previous closing level of Rs 1,055 and aluminium ingots dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 160 from Rs 165.
Zin and lead also softened by a Re per kg to Rs 173 and Rs 136 respectively.
