Copper, brass fall on lower demand

Copper and brass prices fell at the non-ferrous metal market here today on subdued stockist buying amid lower demand from industrial users.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and copper sheet cutting all dropped by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 400, Rs 394, Rs 428 and Rs 384 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 405, Rs 399, Rs 433 and Rs 389.
Copper utensils scrap slid by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 365 as against Rs 369.
Copper armature edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 391 as compared to Rs 393.
Brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting also softened by a Re per kg to Rs 316 and Rs 320, respectively.
