Copper, brass gain on sustained industrial demand

Copper and brass prices were up at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid sustained demand from industrial users.
Meanwhile, nickle, tin, lead and zinc slipped owing to lower offtake from alloy industries.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings inched up by Re per kg each to Rs 408, Rs 402, Rs 380 and Rs 310 from Monday's closing level of Rs 407, Rs 401, Rs 379 and Rs 309 respectively.
While, tin and nickel slid by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,150 and Rs 825 as against to Rs 1,155 and Rs 830 yesterday.
Zinc and lead prices edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 158 and Rs 121 as compared to Rs 160 and Rs 123 respectively.
