Copper, brass rebounds smartly on industrial demand

The industrial metals traded almost flat at the LME amid better Euro though lingering concerns on Spain continue torment trading sentiment.

Copper scrap heavy and Brass sheet cutting spurted by Rs 7 per kg each to Rs 479 and Rs 331 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 472 and Rs 324.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar shot up by Rs 6 per kg each to Rs 486 and Rs 514 from Rs 480 and Rs 508.

Copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 465 from Rs 461 and brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 318 from Rs 315 yesterday.

Aluminium utensils scrap and zinc both edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 114 and Rs 134.

Copper armiture and copper utensils scrap inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 468 and Rs 445.

However, tin fell by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 1,260 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,275.

Lead softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 121.
