Traders said sentiments remained bearish after copper headed for a third monthly loss in global markets as a surging dollar and speculation that demand in China remained weak put the metal on course for the biggest drop since January.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months fell 0.3 per cent to USD 5,245.50 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap remained under selling pressure and shed another Rs 2 at Rs 392 per kg.
