Copper prices fell 0.62 per cent to Rs 415.30 per kg in futures trade today amid muted demand in the domestic spot markets and profit-booking by speculators.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November eased by Rs 2.60, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 415.30 per kg, in a business turnover of 74 lots.
On similar lines, the metal for delivery in current month was trading down by Rs 2.45, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 409.05 per kg in 1,298 lots.
Marketmen attributed the fall in copper prices at futures trade to a weak trend in metals at the domestic spot markets coupled with profit-booking by participants.
