At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February month declined by Rs 1.15, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 438.20 per kg in business turnover of 12,986 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April contracts was trading lower by 35 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 442.15 per kg in 40 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly influenced copper prices at futures trade.
