Copper futures on Monday traded 2.54 per cent lower at Rs 422.55 per kg after participants offloaded their positions on weak spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 11, or 2.54 per cent, to Rs 422.55 per kg in a business turnover of 3,290 lots.
Similarly, copper contracts for April delivery traded lower by Rs 9.90, or 2.27 per cent, to Rs 425.75 per kg in a business turnover of 22 lots.
Traders said subdued demand in spot market mainly pushed down copper prices here.
