Copper futures on Friday traded 0.36 per cent lower at Rs 428.60 per kg as participants reduced their exposure on weak spot demand.
The trading in the first half was closed on account of 'Mahashivratri'.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 1.55, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 428.60 per kg in a business turnover of 956 lots.
Similarly, copper contracts for March delivery traded lower by Rs 1.40, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 433.80 per kg in a business turnover of 298 lots.
