Copper, lead rise on global cues

Prices of copper and lead rose by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous base metals market today on firm global trend.
Traders said sentiment turned better after copper climbed in overseas markets amid dwindling stockpiles and easing tensions in Ukraine on reports that Russia has recalled troops after a snap drill.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months rose 0.5 per cent to USD 7,001 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap, lead ingot and lead imported were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 438, Rs 134 and Rs 132 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4x4) 1,056-1,057 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 438, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 134, lead imported 132, aluminium ingots 146, Aluminium sheet cutting 147, aluminium wire scrap 149 and aluminium utensils scrap 146.
