Copper, nickel decline on global cues

Meanwhile, Brass and copper sheet cutting moved up on good demand from consumer industries.

The industrial metal continued its downtrend on investors cautiousness amid slower outlook over chinese growth as well as stalled US Budget talks.

Copper armiture dropped by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 463 from Wednesday's close of Rs 469 and nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,110 from Rs 1,115.

Copper scrap heavy edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 479 as against Rs 481 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, aluminium utensils scrap and lead all softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 490, Rs 444, Rs 518, Rs 117 and Rs 127 respectively.

However, brass utensils scrap gained by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 323 from Rs 321, while brass sheet cutting and copper sheet cutting inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 334 and Rs 465 from Rs 333 and Rs 464.
