Copper, nickel prices ease on reduced offtake

Prices of copper and nickel declined up to Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries and a weak global trend mainly kept pressure on copper and nickel prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were down by Rs 2 and Rs 3 to Rs 368 and Rs 920-925 per kg respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 100-106, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 920-925, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 368, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 96, Lead imported Rs 97, Aluminium ingots Rs 152, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 153, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 155 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 152.
