Traders sentiment remained firm after copper climbed in global markets amid speculation that demand will stabilise in China as policymakers try to support growth in the world's largest consumer of industrial metals.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months climbed 0.4 per cent to USD 6,733 a metric tonne, the highest price since June 6 on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) advanced by Rs 2 and Rs 5 to Rs 438 and Rs 1,094-1,095 per kg, respectively.
