Copper, nickel rise on global cues

Copper and nickel prices rose by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today, largely in tandem with a firming global trend.
Traders said sentiment bolstered as copper advanced in global markets after a gauge of Chinese manufacturing expanded at the fastest pace in five months, boosting demand prospects from the world's biggest user of industrial metals.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months rose 0.8 per cent to USD 6,898 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 442 and Rs 1,093-1,094 per kg, respectively.

Zinc ingot 113-119, nickel plate (4x4) 1,093-1,094 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 442, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 120, lead imported 118, aluminium ingots 152, Aluminium sheet cutting 153, aluminium wire scrap 155 and aluminium utensils scrap 152.
