Copper, nickel rise on increased industrial demand

Copper and nickel prices rose by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous base metals market today due to increased industrial demand.
Traders said increased industrial demand and a report of a firming global trend mainly led to rise in copper and nickel prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 442 and Rs 1,072-1,073 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 119-125, nickel plate (4x4) 1,072-1,073 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 442, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 138, lead imported 136, aluminium ingots 146, Aluminium sheet cutting 147, aluminium wire scrap 149 and aluminium utensils scrap 146.
