Prices of copper and nickel drifted down by up to Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market Thursday due to muted demand from consuming industries amid weak trend overseas.

Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three-month fell 0.7 per cent to USD 6,271 per metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copepr mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) fell by Rs 2 and Rs 3 to Rs 443 and Rs 940-942 per kg respectively.
