Copper, nickel soften on subdued demand

Prices of copper and nickel were down by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today due to subdued demand from consuming industries.
Traders attributed the fall in copper and nickel prices to subdued demand from consuming industries.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) declined by Rs 2 each to Rs 430 and Rs 1,091-1,097 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 112-118, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,091-1,097, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 430, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 109, Lead imported 107, Aluminium ingots 159, Aluminium sheet cutting 160, Aluminium wire scrap 162 and Aluminium utensils scrap 159.
