Copper prices remain high on global cues

Copper prices advanced by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today amid a firming global trend.
Traders said buying activity in copper picked up after it rose in global markets as investors looked to signs of stronger growth in the US and China amid a continued stand-off between Greece and its euro-area creditors.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three month rose 0.2 per cent to USD 5,779 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added Rs 2 to Rs 408 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 119-125, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,012-1,017, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 408, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 111, Lead imported Rs 112, Aluminium ingots Rs 158, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 159, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 161 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 158.
