Copper remains high on rising demand

Copper prices added Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today on rising demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals held steady in thin trade.
Traders said apart from rising demand from consuming industries, a firming global trend, mainly led to the rise in copper prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap traded higher by Rs 2 to Rs 414 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 118-124, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,064-1,069, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 414, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 102, Lead imported Rs 103, Aluminium ingots Rs 156, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 157, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 159 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 156.
