Copper weakens on global cues, spot demand

Copper prices were trading down by Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on tepid demand from consuming industries amid weak global cues.

Traders said, apart from a weak trend overseas, low demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot market, influenced copper prices.

Globally, prices for delivery in three-month fell 0.2 per cent to USD 7,295.50 per metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap fell by Rs 3 to Rs 435 per kg.
