Copper, zinc move up on global cues

Copper and zinc prices went up by Rs 2 per kg at the local market today on sustained buying by stockists, taking positive cues from overseas markets.
Traders said sentiment remained better as copper advanced in global markets after better-than-forecast growth data in China.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months climbed one per cent to USD 5,730 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingots were higher by Rs 2 each to Rs 404 and Rs 116-122 per kg respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 116-122, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,078-1,083, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 404, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 106, Lead imported 107, Aluminium ingots 164, Aluminium sheet cutting 165, Aluminium wire scrap 167 and Aluminium utensils scrap 164.
