Copper, zinc rise on high demand

Copper and zinc prices rose by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries led to rise in copper and zinc prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 448 and Rs 121-127 per kg, respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 121-127, nickel plate (4x4) 1,068-1,069 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 448, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 142, lead imported 140, aluminium ingots 146, Aluminium sheet cutting 147, aluminium wire scrap 149 and aluminium utensils scrap 146.
