Copper, zinc strengthen on increased demand

Copper and nickel prices firmed up by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries mainly led to rise in copper and zinc prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 437 and Rs 115-121 per kg respectively.
The following are today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4x4) 1,080-1,081 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 437,chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 138,lead imported 136, aluminium ingots 150, Aluminium sheet cutting 151, aluminium wire scrap 153 and aluminium utensils scrap 150.
