Copra Alapuzha moves up on fresh demand

In a restricted activity, copra Alapuzha prices moved up at the spices market here today on renewed buying support from domestic consumers as well as millers.
On the other hand, copra office Kozhikode declined on reduced offtake.
Meanwhile, there was no trading in local copra, pepper and ginger markets following bandh called by traders in protest against the imposition of LBT (local body tax) by the government.
Following are today's closing rates in Rs with previous rates in brackets:
Black pepper (per kg) closed (365/415),ginger bleached (per kg) closed (160),ginger unbleached (per kg) closed (170), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,525 (4,500),copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,425 (4,450), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) closed (6,000) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) closed (5,600).
