Copra Alapuzha surges on sustained demand, black pepper eases

Copra office Alapuzha prices moved up further at the Spices market here today on sustained demand from stockist and retailers.
While, black pepper eased on subdued retail demand.
Ginger, copra Kozhikode, copra rajapur and copra edible ruled stable in the absence of market moving factors.
Copra office Alapuzha climbed by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,100 from Monday's closing level of Rs 7,000.
However, black pepper moved down by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 447/481 as compared to Rs 447/488 previously.
Following are today's closing rates in Rs with previous rates in brackets:
Black pepper (per kg) 447/481 (447/488), ginger bleached (per kg) 175 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 185 (185), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,100 (7,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,950 (6,950), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 8,500 (8,500) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,100 (8,100).
